In Roll-a-Ball.. Lava! I enhanced a popular Unity learning tutorial to learn and explore many aspects of game development:

  • C# scripting

  • Unity audio enhancement without the use of Wwise:

    • Custom music fades

    • Editor adjustments for control of pitch & volume

  • Level, UI, material, and color design

  • Mesh combination

  • Graphical dithering to visually fade the floor

  • Composition and sheet music engraving with MuseScore

This project was the final for my introductory Audio Scripting course at DigiPen. Follow the link here to see how far the original tutorial gets you.

It marks my first experience with Unity where I created every asset and behavior. Lots of work went into this seemingly simple build, especially into handling the audio edge-cases. I hope you enjoy!
